Certified Exteriors Corp. is family owned and established
in 2004. Our focus was to establish and build an
educated and experienced work force to re-build
and repair exterior surfaces, including windows,
siding, gutters, doors, soffit and fascia coverings
for the small business and homeowners in this greater
Black Hills region. Our training including working
with local installers and contractors. Nationally,
some tests had to be passed to become certified
in the siding and gutter installation fields including
becoming knowledgeable in great detail about the
products and materials themselves.
Our company became the only certified Norandex/Reynolds
dealer in South Dakota. The products we have promoted
included the Simonton Windows along with the CraftMark
Classic Steel Siding by Reynolds. Our products carried
the Good Housekeeping Seal of Consumer Confidence
for 15 years or more. According to the J.D. Power
and Associates/McGraw-Hill Construction 2006 Residential
Window and Patio Door Builder and Remodeled Satisfaction
Study (SM), Simonton windows earned the #1 ranking,
beating out companies that include Andersen, Pella,
CertainTeed, Marvin, Milgard, Ply Gem, Atrium and
Weather Shield! Later, we continued to be tested
in supportive areas, and becoming nationally recognized
in asbestos abatement...necessary to have older
siding and materials removed and transported. Additionally,
we purchased seamless equipment and state of the
art tools, lasers and supportive equipment for this
installation process.
Some struggles in finding quality workers in the
available job-pool left some of our customers with
late delivery. In fact, we then instituted background
checks and drug testing with mandated employee manuals
to be read and signed. These agreements were based
upon our need for good character and maintaining
a drug free environment while keeping focused on
our fundamental Christian beliefs maintaining honesty
with our suppliers and customers. This move in our
company was not received well with our construction
and field employees. Because of this, our intensity
moved away from actual installation to the shipping
and delivery directly to the rural contractors.
In 2008, we decided to add Lynch Aluminum Rainware
